UK Fire and Rescue Dog's thirst extinguished by the Road Refresher travel bowl!
Being on call 365 days a year, in sometimes blistering and often dangerous conditions is thirsty work for the brave canine members of the UK Fire and Rescue Service.
The Fire and Rescue service have chosen to use the Road Refresher non spill pet travel bowl to ensure their dogs remain refreshed and in top form whilst they travel to disaster zones.
This amazing team of man (or woman) and his best friend was officially formed back in July 2001 to give the UK Fire Service a search and rescue dog team capability to respond to UK and International incidents.
The teams are made up of fire-fighters from individual brigades throughout the country, who are on stand-by 24/7 for immediate deployment to all kinds of emergency situations including earthquakes, building collapse, the 2004 tsunami in Thailand, explosions, floods - in fact, anywhere where disaster strikes and human life could be at risk.
The world famous, Road Refresher pet travel bowl is cleverly designed to prevent any spillage even during cornering, accelerating or braking - whatever the terrain.
John Ball from the search and rescue team said, "I first saw the road fresher at Crufts this year and have been very pleased with it, the bowl stays upright and doesn't spill, even on the longest journeys and our dogs arrive properly hydrated and fit for training or deployment at an incident. This of course is crucial as our dogs need to be 100% efficient to start working as peoples live are at risk."
The Road refresher is so successful it is also being used by the American Search and Rescue team, recently honoured by Secretary of Defence, William. S. Cohen in the Pentagon, for demonstrating extreme bravery at disaster areas such as Hurricane Katrina and the atrocity of the Twin Towers.
